Barbara Broderick told Patricia K. Cassidy that her mother, Freda Cassidy, lived with her father's cousin, Tom Nesbitt, when she first came to Massachusettes.

Freda came to the U.S. when she was 16. Her religious affiliation was Baptist.

Freda is buried in Riverside Cemetery.
