| Shared Note: - The obituary from The Daily Telegraph, Saint John, N.B. on Monday May 9, 1904 read: "Many friends will regret the early death of Frederick P. Cassidy, eldest son of the late conductor E.W. Cassidy of the C.P.R. and the late Mary S. Cassi dy. The young man died on Saturday at the General Public Hospital after an illness of three weeks of pleurisy. He was for several years in the employ of T.B. Barker & Sons. Eight brother and sisters survive him and to them will go out universal sympathy in their bereavement." The census of 1901 for Saint John Ward Div. 1 lists Payson Cassidy as head of household, birth 9 Feb 1885, age 16, born N.B., origin Irish, religion Presbyterian, occupation clerk (?); Ethel, sister, date of birth 7 June 1882, age 18, born N.B., origin Irish, religion Presbyterian, occupation training for nurse; Daisy M., sister, date of birth 10 January 1884, age 17, occupation [text looks like] clerk in bank; Claude, brother, date of birth 9 May1886, age 14; Hazel P., sister, date of birth 17 February 1888, age 13; Florence, sister, date of birth 9 April 1893, age 7; Percy M., brother, date of birth 12 August 1895, age 5; Rogers, Sara J., aunt, date of birth, 23 August 1848, age 53.
Frederick Payson is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, N.B.
