| Shared Note: - The following information provided by Patricia K. Cassidy: Obituary from The Daily Telegraph, Saint John, N.B. on Monday, April 6, 1899: "The sudden death of Mr. Edward W. Cassidy, a popular CPR (Canadian Pacific Railroad) conductor, caused much regret. He was suddenly stricken with paralysis Monday and died Tuesday evening. Mr. Cassidy's wife died recently and nine children are left alone, the eldest being about 17 years of age."
Edward and Mary are buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, N.B. Mary Susan's father was John Murdoch, mother Elizabeth.
