Show Details Shared Note: - Philip was baptized in the Universal Church in Haverhill, Mass. on June 17, 1917. He was very athletic. At Braintree High School, he played football and held a track record for over 20 years. He attended Hebron Academy in Maine and then went on to attend Duke University on a four year athletic scholarship. He ran track and cross country at Duke.

Like his father and brother, Phil was a licensed electrician and worked on many hospital projects in the Boston area.

Phil's favorite place was near an ocean or lake. He loved to sail and owned a Hobie-Cat for many years. He sailed it on a lake in Plymouth, Mass. at the cottage he built from the ground up. He was a man of many talents. He built a dark-room in his home in Braintree, where he developed pictures of his children and grandchildren.

He maintained a very large flower and vegetable garden in his yard and worked them until the day he died.
He and Evelyn were high school sweethearts at Braintree High School. They eloped to New York City in 1941. They enjoyed attending high school reunions. They both doted on their grandchildren.
