The events surrounding James Arlington's death are not clear, but what is known is as follows. James left on the weekend for Maine. He was found the following Thursday outside Bangor, Maine burned in his car. He took a small package (of valuable stamps perhaps) with him and it is suspected that he was murdered over its contents. Japanese persons were implicated.
