Show Details Shared Note: - Gordon was born and raised in Moncton, N.B., where he won many awards for scholastic achievement. He graduated with his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1970 from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Subsequently, he taught at Carnegie M ellon University in Pennsylvania. During the 1970s, he spent several years working in the federal government as Assistant Deputy Minister in the Ministry of the Solicitor General. He left in 1978 to join Queen's University full time. At Queen's, Gordon was a professor in the School of Business and founder and first director of the National and Ottawa Executive MBA programs.

Gordon was living in Kingston, Ontario when he died in 2010 from Parkinson's Disease.
