The Henderson family, who own a hardware store in Donegal, lived next to the Cassidy stone cottage in Inver Port in the early 1800s. They believe the Cassidys and Hendersons are cousins through a marriage between Margaret, the sister of William, who it is believed stayed in Ireland, and a great or great great grandfather of the two older Hendersons, Jimmy and George, both in their 80s ‏(1999)‏ and still live in the vicinity of Inver/Donegal.

The ruins of the Cassidy cottage, which Michael Cassidy saw many years before ‏(1999)‏ on a visit to Inver, seem to have disappeared. In its place now is a depot for a salmon fish farm.

Andrew's sons, Frank, Robert, Thomas and Andrew also came to America and arrived in Saint John, N.B. or elsewhere.

From notes that Stan Cassidy made Dec. 11, 1949, we learn the following about Andrew's sons:

Frank married later in life at about age 50 to Miss O'Neill. They had no family.

Robert married an American in Boston. They were fine people, lived in Fall River, Mass. and had one boy.
Andrew lived in Boston ‏(West Roxbury)‏, Mass. Had sons Andrew and George.

Thomas lived in Boston. Had several sons and two daughters, Jennie and Margaret who lived in Revers ‏(Boston)‏. They were great friends of Jennie Dunlop. ‏[Revers may be a spelling error. Should probably be Revere which is just NE of downtown Boston.]‏
