Sean OConnor, a cousin of Oren Frood, provided the following:

Oren was an accountant.

He was a professional hockey player for about three years. He played with the Berlin Dutchmen ‏(Berlin is now called Kitchener)‏ of the Ontario Professional Hockey League. In 1910, the Dutchmen challenged the Montreal Wanderers for the Stanley Cup. Oren played left wing and scored one of the goals in what went on to be a 3-7 loss to Montreal.
