Barbara Broderick remembers that Uncle Claude called her mother to tell her that he was going to California about 1934. He apparently kept in touch with his sister, Hazel, but we have no idea of his whereabouts.

The 1911 Census for Saint John City has Claude Cassidy as: boarder, 180 Princess St, age 21, born December 1889, single, religion Roman Catholic, occupation Salesman; also, at same location Percy Cassidy, boarder, age 16, born April 1895, single, religion Presbyterian, occupation Salesman.
Saint John City Directory 1920-21 lists C. Cassidy, japanner at Peter’s Tannery boarding at 109 Marsh Rd. The occupation of japanner is someone who applies a Japanese style black hard varnish to furniture or metal.
Saint John City Directory 1921-22 lists Claude F. Cassidy traveller, living at 46 Pitt.
Saint John City Directory 1922 lists Claude F. Cassidy traveller Patterson Candy Co. living at 66 Hazen.
Border Crossings: Canada to U.S. 1895-1956 for October 1922 list Claude F. Cassidy age 36, salesman, Mary Cassidy age 36 and Edward A. Cassidy age 9 as arriving in the U.S. Their final destination is listed as Los Angeles, California. Ruth A. Cassidy, 17 German is listed as the contact person.
