Daisy died in childbirth of a tubular pregnancy with her second child.
Note
Daisy is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, NB. Cemetery records indicate Daisy is buried in the Cassidy family plot. Cemetery records also indicate Hazel Prince Cassidy is buried in the same family plot. See photo under Edward Wellington Cassidy.
Her parents Edward Wellington Cassidy and Mary Susan Murdoch are also thought to be buried in the same family plot, as is her brother Frederick Payson Cassidy. All three died before 1913. About early 1913, a fire destroyed most of the paper records of internments at Cedar Hill Cemetery. After the fire, records were reconstructed based on engravings on markers. The Cassidy family plot has a simple marker with the name CASSIDY only. No paper record of internment still exists for Edward Wellington Cassidy, Mary Susan Murdoch and Frederick Payson Cassidy.
