The adoption records of Florence Cassidy, RS 55 1904 Supreme Court in Equity Records, disclose that Edward W. Cassidy had no surviving brothers or sisters and that his mother had also predeceased him. The father was an old man of 80 year s living in California. That the mother and father of Mary S. Cassidy were both dead and that her surviving brother James S. Murdock was a machinist living in St. Stephen, and that one sister Sara Jane Rogers was living in Saint John. All the children were living with Sara Jane Rogers except Ethel Cassidy who was taking a course in nursing in Tewsbury, Mass., Ruth A. Cassidy who was residing with R.T. Mack, a druggest in Fredericton, and Florence was living with the petitioners, Frederick Leopold Rayworth and Mary Viola Rayworth who were not related to Florence. On the 15th day of October 1904, the following signed the petition: Claude Foster Cassidy, Percy Mack Cassidy, Daisy M. Cassidy, Hazel P. Cassidy, Ester-Freda Cassidy, and Sara Jane Rogers.

Saint John City Directory 1918-19 lists Miss Florence Rayworth stenographer Oak Hall boarding at 67 Sewell. Her sister Hazel Cassidy is also boarding at the same address, at the same time. Oak Hall, Scovil Brothers Ltd 55-59 King St.

Saint John City Directory 1920-21 lists Miss Florence Rayworth stenographer Dunfield & Co. Ltd. 154 King. Florence Rayworth has not been found in the 1921 Canada Census. Did she move to Detroit with Hazel and later return to Saint John?
Saint John City Directory 1928, 1929 and 1930 list Miss Florence Rayworth steno Ford Motor Co. boarding at 116 Carmarthen. Wednesday, February 4, 1976. The Evening Times Globe, Saint John, NB Miss F. Rayworth: The funeral of Miss Florence Rayworth was held from the Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, with services conducted by the Reverend Emerson Mylalsingh of the Bayfield United Church. Miss Rayworth died at the Saint John General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Rayworth of Bayfield, but resided most of her adult life in Saint John, being employed for several years by the Ford Motor Company Ltd. Latterly she worked with the N.B. Association of Registered Nurses, and with the Saint John Tuberculosis Association. She was for many years a member of St. David’s United Church and of the St. Andrew and St. David congregation. She was a member of the UCW of the church and also of the Bluebird Club. On Wednesday, a memorial service was held in the Church of St. Andrew and St. David with the Rev. James Fraser officiating. Interment will take place in Bayfield in the spring.
